Ingredients: For chicken marination:

salt to taste 1 tsp

red chili powder 1/2 tsp

full black pepper powder 1/2 tsp

cumin powder 1 tsp

full whole spice powder(garam masala) 1 tsp ginger

garlic paste 1 tbsp.

lemon juice 2 tbsp.

yogurt 1 tbsp.

full BBQ sauce For Salad.

2 cups cabbage, shredded

2 cups lettuce, shredded

1 cup capsicum, thinly sliced

1 cup cucumber,

sliced 4 tbsp.


chopped salt to taste 3 tbsp.

vinegar or to taste 1/4 cup water To assemble Shawarma Wrap: 6 pita breads

(check my homemade pita bread recipe) Cooked chicken strips Pickled vegetables of your choice 1/2 cup mayonnaise mixed with 3 tbsp. fresh cream. ketchup as required some toothpicks to secure Shawarma wrap METHOD: 1.Steam together, cabbage, capsicum and cucumbers for 5 minutes. 2.Remove vegetables carefully. Now into steamed vegetables add, lettuce, chopped coriander, salt, vinegar and 1/4 cup of water. Mix well and set this salad aside for later use. 3.Marinate chicken with, yogurt, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, BBQ sauce, red chili powder, black pepper powder, salt, cumin and all spice powder. Marinate for 1 hour or overnight. 4.In a pan heat 2 tbsp. oil and cook chicken fillets until tender with some grilling marks on it. 5.Then cut chicken fillets into strips. Set aside. 6.Mix half cup of mayonnaise with 3-4 tbsp of fresh cream. 7.Assemble Shawarma: Take one pita bread, spread mayo sauce and ketchup according to your taste. 8.Place chicken strips, salad, add some more mayo. Wrap it carefully and you are done. 9.Serve with french fries. 10.Enjoy. Good Luck!
