Increased level of cholesterol means higher blood pressure, increased risk of heart attack and sudden death which no one wishes for himself.

A study on yogurt and cholesterol reduced level was published in Journal of Dairy Science which claimed that cholesterol level was significantly reduced if yogurt is consumed daily.

But the report also specified that not all yogurts are effective rather only that which contains Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifid bacterium lactis are effective.

High cholesterol level can also create digestive problems by making gallstones, almost 80% gallstones are formed by cholesterol. It also blocks blood flow to                 stomach and intestines creating problems such as Intestinal ischemic syndrome which causes abdominal pain and vomiting.
